In many chemical and water treatment systems, storage tanks are installed at high positions to utilize gravity for liquid distribution. After the pump stops running, the liquid in the high-level pipeline will flow backward under the action of gravity, forming a siphon effect. If no effective interception measures are taken, the treated clean liquid or medicated liquid will flow back into the raw liquid tank, causing medium mixing pollution and even affecting the normal operation of the whole production process. Additional external check valves will increase pipeline head loss and bring extra sealing hidden dangers at connection positions.
Yida integrates a miniature one-way valve structure inside the pump outlet flow channel. When the pump is running normally, the forward liquid pressure pushes the valve plate open without affecting normal flow delivery. When the pump stops and reverse flow occurs, the reverse liquid pressure automatically presses the valve plate to close the flow channel, realizing automatic anti-siphon interception. The built-in structure omits the need for installing an external check valve, reduces the total length of pipeline connection and lowers the risk of leakage at pipeline connection points.
The anti-siphon built-in structure is standardly configured on self-priming pump products, and can be optionally added to magnetic pump products for high-level tank delivery scenarios. The valve plate inside the structure adopts the same corrosion-resistant material as the pump flow passage, adapting to long-term contact with various corrosive media without failure caused by corrosion. The flow resistance of the built-in structure during forward operation is controlled within a very low range, which basically does not affect the pump's rated delivery performance.
Anti-siphon optimized pumps are suitable for elevated tank chemical dosing systems, high-position raw liquid tank delivery systems and gravity distribution water treatment systems widely existing in global industrial sites. The integrated structural design simplifies the overall pipeline system configuration, reduces the risk of backflow pollution in fluid systems, and improves the operational reliability of high-low position fluid delivery systems.
