Amid global industrial manufacturing’s shift toward compact, high-density production layouts, Zhejiang Yida Pump Industry (YDPumps) has unveiled its YDW vertical dry-run resistant acid pump series, expanding its product portfolio of anti-corrosion industrial pumps to cover vertical submerged circulation scenarios, responding to worldwide manufacturers’ demands for space-saving and fault-tolerant fluid equipment.
Global industrial operators face two prominent bottlenecks when selecting corrosive fluid pumps: horizontal chemical pumps occupy extensive floor space and conflict with compact modular production line planning; meanwhile, accidental liquid depletion during operation leads to dry-running, rapidly damaging pump impellers and motor components, triggering unplanned production shutdowns. Market analysis of vertical chemical pumps shows sustained growth momentum, with environmental desulfurization, new energy material processing and electronic PCB manufacturing as key demand drivers, especially in space-limited workshops in East Asia and Western Europe.
YDPumps YDW vertical pump adopts an upright column integrated design, with the pump body submerged inside liquid tanks and the motor mounted above the liquid surface. This vertical installation mode cuts required ground space by more than 60% compared with horizontal self-priming and magnetic pumps, perfectly matching compact scrubber towers, electroplating tank groups and small chemical circulation systems.
The core technical highlight of the YDW series lies in its dry-run resistant hydraulic optimization structure. Traditional plastic chemical pumps fail within minutes under dry-running conditions, while the YDW pump’s customized cooling circulation channel allows short-time idle operation without component ablation, greatly lowering maintenance risks caused by operator misoperation or temporary liquid supply interruption. The pump’s flow-through parts are molded from high-rigidity FRPP plastic, delivering stable resistance to chromic acid, nitric acid, sodium hydroxide and other common corrosive media in global surface treatment and environmental protection industries.
The YDW vertical pump series covers multiple flow and head specifications, supporting side outlet pipeline connection for flexible workshop piping layout. Standard IEC international motors are equipped, with IP55 protection grade adapting to humid, corrosive workshop environments.
“Many overseas clients from electronics and waste treatment industries feedback that horizontal pumps cannot fit their compact production lines, and dry-running failures bring huge production losses,” Lu, YDPumps business contact, commented. “The YDW vertical dry-run pump fills the gap in our vertical anti-corrosion pump product line, forming a complete product matrix combining horizontal magnetic pumps, horizontal self-priming pumps and vertical circulation pumps, enabling us to provide full-process corrosive fluid transfer solutions for global industrial customers from tank circulation, pipeline transportation to sealed zero-leakage delivery.”
